In Hade's Gambit, Book I of the Krypteia Conspiracy, the world is in her final days and on the doorstep of the beginning of the standard Judeo-Christian concept of the tribulation. The Book of Revelations lays out the final days leading up to the Second Coming of Christ. But the Book of Revelations is not complete. There are more scriptures to be revealed, hidden for thousands of years; a prophecy that states that three mortals will rise up in the latter days and with them, have the power to thwart evil and bring about the thousand year reign of Christ. But failure will mean the opposite a thousand years of Hell on earth. And that has been a plan thousands of years in the making.
As if the stakes werent high enough, good is woefully outnumbered in the last days and facing one of its most dire challenges the machinations of one of the most brutal beings the world has ever seen.
